The Animated Nativity of Perteole is a truly remarkable creation that captures the tradition and faith passed down through generations for over a century. It is located in a room next to the St Thomas parish church and portrays the Nativity scene set in the Palestinian landscape from two thousand years ago. Every year, this nativity scene captivates and delights thousands of visitors. The level of detail of the reconstruction is astounding, with over a hun- dred animations showcasing various crafts, social moments, and everyday scenes. The animations are timed with remarkable precision, down to the sec- ond, creating a truly immersive experience. Addi- tionally, the setting of the scene accurately displays the constellations that illuminated the sky on that special night. Notably, it includes the ‘conjunction’ between Jupiter and Saturn in the constellation of Pisces, which was followed by the arrival of the Magi.
